Some interesting news from the NCCA, in coordination with the big boys in London (Cinesite, Framestore, Double Negative, MPC and The Mill) they are organising a VFX Festival in Bournemouth aimed to celebrate the UK’s visual effects and animation industry as well as inspiring the next generation of talent. It will be following by a 6 week summer VFX competition for all UK HE students. It’s an extremely exciting prospect, boasting industry mentors and master classes. I’m hoping to join/form a team and enter. It will be a tough competition but I’m hopeful to get to the final stage.
