This has been one of the more relaxing assignments of the year, and one I have enjoyed immensely.

The brief was to design a character for a short film. This included creating a poses sheet, expression sheet, model sheet, walk cycle, personality profile and a maqeutte. I chose to do a redesign of the Tinman character from the Wizard of Oz. The design is aimed at a family friendly animation remake of the original. I was extremely happy with my final project and have grown rather attached to the little guy. I’m hoping to one day model and rig him in Maya.
